Kenya’s coast is not one interchangeable beach destination. We created Mombasa Rentals to explain those differences in practical language.

Our guides are written primarily for international travellers, while still accounting for the needs and prices relevant to Kenyan residents and East African visitors. We cover accommodation areas, attractions, restaurants, transport, weather, itineraries, local etiquette and the practical details that affect a trip.

Our connection to the Kenyan coast

Mombasa Rentals was founded by NLS Safaris. Members of the editorial team grew up on the Kenyan coast and have worked as tour guides there. They have personally visited many of the places covered on the website.

That experience helps us recognise the details visitors often miss, but it does not replace verification. A personal visit can explain atmosphere or layout. Current entry fees, schedules, policies and booking conditions still need to be checked against reliable sources. We only use first-person experience when the relevant writer actually had and can support that experience.

Our relationship with NLS Safaris

Mombasa Rentals is the name of this travel-information website. It is operated by NLS Safaris, but the website does not present itself as a hotel, rental agency, booking platform or direct reservation service. Readers do not book or pay Mombasa Rentals for accommodation or activities.

Editorial pages are created under the Mombasa Rentals name. When a commercial relationship could matter to a reader, we disclose it clearly rather than relying on the reader to infer it.

How the website is funded
